Replacing existing worktops with quartz, granite or porcelain/ceramic

Sometimes budget does not allow for a full kitchen replacement but changing your worktops for quartz, a heat resistant surface like Laminam or Infinity Engineered Stone, or granite can give your kitchen a new lease of life. In this video, the client wanted to replace laminate worktops for Unistone Nero Marquina (Oxford) quartz.

Before templating, it is important that you remove the old tops including your hob and sink, and arrange for these to be re-connected once your new tops are in. It is normally 1 week between template & installation.

BEFORE:

The client was concerned with the lack of workspace while cooking, so instructed her joiner to add support to the wall so we could add the peninsular on to the right-hand of the new worktops. The client also replaced the sink with something that matched the worktop, and a different tap.

AFTER:

The new quartz adds extra workspace with the peninsular, plus the full height splashback creates both a dramatic look that is functional with its wipe-clean, stylish surface.
