Granite is one of the oldest and hardest rocks on the planet, formed over millions of years, when magma is forced between other rocks in the Earth’s crust, and then cools and crystallizes deep underground. Generally, the further below our planet’s surface that the granite is formed, the lighter the colour, whilst the nearer to the surface that granite is formed, the quicker the molten rock cools, usually producing darker colours.

The wonderful natural beauty combined with incredible strength and durability, means that granite has become increasingly popular, and is now the first choice for many kitchen work tops. Elegant and luxurious, granite is both fashionable and timeless, and will add a touch of class to any domestic or commercial installation. The hard wearing attributes of granite are such that it has many uses in the kitchen, bathroom, bar area, fire-place or hearth.
