Founded in 2001, the World of Marble has been fabricating and installing granite, marble and quartz across the country, for nearly 10 years. We are based at Langar near Nottingham, and visitors are always welcome to come and browse a wide selection of natural and composite stone materials. We have over 200 slabs on site in our yard, and a showroom facility whereby visitors can see working displays, and many more samples. Customers can choose their own slab from our yard, or order bespoke material, to ensure that absolutely the correct material is chosen before we commence working.

We fabricate and install both natural stone and composite products. The natural stones that we use are predominantly granite and marble, although travertine, limestone and sandstone are also available. The composite materials that we use are generically termed ‘quartz,’ and have a minimum 90% natural quartz stone content, such as Silestone. We also supply and install the world famous Corian band, if you require that totally seamless look.

The natural stone products are extracted from the ground in quarries all around the world, particularly in India, Brazil and China. Over thousands or even millions of years, whilst the rock is still in the ground, it is subject to natural forces such as erosion, weathering and pressure. These combine to produce the materials we know and work with today, and they all have their different characteristics which define their suitability for use in the home, or in commercial projects.

At the World of Marble, we welcome trade, commercial and residential customers – we work with designers, architects, contractors and home owners, to find and supply the best possible materials for each project.

We have a skilled team of stonemasons, CNC operators and installers who treat each and every installation individually. All projects are therefore tailored to individual requirements and hand crafted to suit. In our purpose built factory we have the best of both worlds – traditional stonemason skills allied to modern technology, to achieve the perfect finish.
